Gente, è con sommo dispiacere che vi scrivo dall'Italia! Ebbene sì, la mia permanenza a Tunisi è - per ora - terminata. Come qualcuno sa, il mio primo progetto era di rimanere fino a giugno, ma ho altre lingue da studiare, e la Bourguiba risucchia ogni mia energia vitale. Ma non escludo di tornarci la prossima estate, quindi tra qualche mese potrei aprire una versione estiva.
People, it is with great dismay that I write you from Italy. My stay in Tunis has ended - for the moment. As someone knows, my first plan was to stay there till June, but I have other languages to study, and the Bourguiba takes every life energy from me. But I don't rule out coming back next summer, so I might open a summer version in a few months.
Ad ogni modo, ciò non significa che smetterò di importunarvi, almeno non ancora. Ho passato l'ultima settimana a fare la turista con i miei - o meglio, a far loro da guida turistica ed evitare che venissero fregati troppo spesso. Di conseguenza, ho un bel po' di cose da raccontarvi, tra tassametri pazzi (e consigli su come evitarli) e treni che voi umani non potete neanche immaginare.
Anyway, I won't stop annoying you, at least not yet. I spent last week sightseeing with my family - that is, being there guide and trying to prevent them from being cheated too often. As a consequence, I have a lot of things to tell you, from crazy taximeters (and tips on how to avoid them) and trains you people wouldn't believe.
Il mio primo post, però, sarà un po' meno leggero: cercherò di spiegarvi, nel mio piccolo, cosa sta succedendo in Tunisia, e perché dovete stare attenti a cosa sentite in televisione.
My first post, however, will be heavier: I will try to explain to you, as well as I can, what is going on in Tunisia, and why you must pay attention to what media say.
